Jordan Minister of Environment, Muawieh Radaideh paid an inspection visit to Russeifa district, northeast of Amman, to have a first-hand look at the rehabilitation projects of the Pepsi Pool and the ecological park. In a statement, the ministry said that the minister was informed about the progress of the Pepsi Pool rehabilitation project, set for completion in the first half of next year.
The project consists of treating the stagnant water in the pool, which has accumulated due to sewage, household connections, factory leaks, and rainwater, as well as turning the area into a recreational facility, the statement said. The minister stressed the need for such projects in the district to be a safe haven that can be visited by citizens for sports and hiking activities.
